Celebrate Women in Medicine Month in September
In 1849, Elizabeth Blackwell became the first woman to graduate from medical school. Nearly three decades later, Sarah Hackett Stevenson, MD, became the first woman physician to join the AMA. Since then, there have been many pioneering women physicians to thank and many accomplishments to celebrate—which you can do this September.
