Hunter Schafer is an American model and actor, who shot to fame after playing the role of Jules Vaughn in “Euphoria”, the Emmy Award-winning drama series on HBO. In this series, by portraying the role of a transgender girl Jules, who marks her acting debut while attending high school, Hunter Schafer received several accolades including the MTV Movie And TV Award, Shorty Award, and Dorian Award. Schafer also garnered much fame and recognition after playing the role of Tigris Snow in the dystopian action movie “The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes”.

Born in December 1998 in Trenton, New Jersey, Hunter Schafer was a semifinalist in the US Presidential Scholars Program in her senior year. In 2017, she graduated from the North Carolina School of Fine Arts in its High School Visual Arts program. After her graduation, Hunter had plans to pursue a program in arts from the Central Saint Martins College in London, but had to defer her admission since she got an audition call for the HBO series called “Euphoria”. Apart from her accomplishments as an actor and model, Schafer is also an LGBTQ rights activist and was featured on “Teen Vogue” 2017 list of “21 under 21” owing to her activism against HB2, the anti-LGBT legislation in North Carolina.

Is Hunter Schafer A Man, Woman, Or Trans?
According to 25-year-old Hunter, though born as a male, she began exhibiting feminine traits when she was only a toddler, and when she was in her seventh grade, she decided to come out to her parents as a gay boy. However, soon after coming out to her parents Mac and Katy Schafer, Hunter began to experience gender dysphoria by the next year. So she transitioned as a transgender woman after being diagnosed with dysphoria after moving to ninth grade.
In one of her interviews, Schafer got candid while speaking about her transition, and said that she had turned to the Internet to help her deal with her gender identity. She watched a lot of YouTube and searched social media to learn more from those who had also undergone a similar transition.
Honoring the 50th anniversary of the very first LGBTQ Pride Parade, in June 2020, Schafer was mentioned by “Queerty” as one of the 50 heroes who are “leading the nation toward equality, acceptance, and dignity for all people”. Her name was also featured in “Time” magazine’s list of “100 emerging leaders who are shaping the future”, and her Euphoria co-star Zendaya also wrote a tribute for her.
In 2016, Schafer was mentioned as a plaintiff in the lawsuit against bill HB2 of North Carolina, owing to her LGBT activism, which prohibited trans people from using the bathroom corresponding to their gender identity. This lawsuit ultimately led to repealing the bill, and Schafer was granted an interview with Hillary Clinton and also mentioned by “Teen Vogue” in their list of “21 under 21”.
Hunter Schafer has always been very open about her gender identity and is proud of being a transgender individual. She said that she wants the world to know that she is not a cis girl since that is not what she is or feels like. Sometime in December 2021, she commented that her sexuality is “bi or pan or something”.
Rumors About Plastic Surgery And Implants
As we have mentioned before, once Hunter Schafer reached 18 years of age, she transitioned to a trans woman, for which she had to undergo surgery. As part of the standard procedure, individuals have to undergo gender affirmation surgery to complete their transition to a trans woman. But, it is not confirmed whether she went under the knife any time later for any cosmetic enhancements to her appearance.

At Schiaparelli’s show that kicked off Paris Haute Couture Week, Hunter was seen wearing a strapless satin black flowy gown with a sweetheart neckline, adorned with a statement gilded gold flower necklace. As if her outfit was not already dreamy, she took it up further by several notches by wearing that gold flower neckpiece.
Not just her dreamy black dress, but Hunter also wore black Schiaparelli heels, the perfect complement to her Schiaparelli gown. Her bright blonde hair was tied neatly into a slick back bun, and Hunter looked incredibly beautiful in her attire.
Hunter’s experiments with style and fashion make her a favorite among some of the biggest names in couture. She was accompanied, at Schiaparelli’s show, by her “Euphoria” co-star Zendaya, who also rocked an all-black ensemble and beautifully complemented Hunter Schafer’s outfit. It was a small reunion of the “Euphoria” star duo, who were seated on the front row beside legends such as Jennifer Lopez, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
