    Held the first weekend in April in Washington, DC, this gathering combines advocacy on Capital Hill, with sharing of the science of women’s health to meeting with women interested in furthering the agenda of women in medicine. Pre-meeting conferences, such grant writing workshops led by NIH researchers, help women physicians compete in the healthcare arena.

    Annual National Women in Surgery Career Symposium

    This two-day conference is sponsored by the University of South Florida Medical School and Tampa General Hospital. The next symposium is being organized for early March 2012 under the leadership of innovative surgeon Sharona Ross, MD, Assistant Professor of Surgery at USF. Surgeons and surgeons-to-be, from the private sector to the academic, participate in networking, work groups, lectures, and panel discussions. CME credit is available for physicians and nurses.
