Career Success is usually a go-to topic when it comes to mapping out New Year’s Resolutions. When defining success, however, most of us focus on things like: Get a raise. Get a promotion. Get a new job…
But what makes women physician’s happy? (And why aren’t these things at the top of the list?!)
Do you want a flexible schedule? Do you want to spend more time with your family? Do you want to develop better relationships with your colleagues or receive more respect from your peers? Do you want access to more resources? Maybe you do want that huge promotion and raise. These are all tangible goals that you can control.
And then there are the more abstract ones: feelings of altruism, self-satisfaction, comfort and security.
Now that we know what Career Happiness might look like, how do we get there?
In three easy steps:
Step 1: Honestly assess your career situation. Get to know your strengths and value, your desires and needs, and areas for growth and change.
Step 2: Set realistic goals. Find out what your self-assessment means and set your goals for the year.
Step 3: Create an action plan. Download our comprehensive checklist and highlight the to-dos necessary to meeting these goals.
